Berkshire Womens Write ! – Now Live !

The Bookloft, an Independent Bookseller, has launched a new WordPress site called Berkshire Women Write ! – partly related and inspired by A Berkshire Celebration: Women in the Arts at Bard College at Simon’s Rock

The Berkshires and our surrounding area has been home to a myriad of talented ans influential women writers over the years. Some of our most famous women authors include Edith Wharton, Catherine Maria Sedgwick, Edna St. Vincent and Harriet Beecher Stowe, to name a few. The Berkshire’s contemporary literary scene continues to enjoy hundreds of talented women, many who have become quite famous and influential in their own right. The breadth of this talent and influence is celebrated by The Bookloft with the launch of this website.

We will be using this new site to publish online some of the bright talented women writers of the Berkshires.

We will be posting new information and developments on this site to help get the owrk out in the greater WordPress community.

We are The Bookloft, and we are an independent bookseller located in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.  We have had a website up for a long time on the web, but now it is time for us to engage the powers of user based tagging and user based content.

Our first site is also a WordPress installation which has been built out in the wild.  We have put this site up to bring awareness that we are out here, vibrant, alive and in the game.

We will be using this site to get the word out through the power of the many bright and wonderful people out there in the greater WordPress community though tags and categories.

We invite dialog thought this site about independent booksellers, our staff picks reviews, the state of unline publishing and the many exciting events that the changing technology of the web.
